Media Accountability Now

Call to Action:
By taking action to demand fairness, accuracy and representation from your TV and radio stations, you improve not only media content, but also public policy on critical youth and racial justice issues.
Goals, Tactics and Background:
Two-thirds of the population makes important policy decisions based on what they read, watch and listen to in news and entertainment media, but your local TV and radio stations are under attack by giant media companies like Clear Channel and Comcast.
Focused on the bottom line, these companies place profit over the public interest -- cutting staff, reducing community programming, raising cable prices, and replacing diverse voices with conservative ones. The result: Media bias in the news, inaccessible stations, and a lack of diversity in music and TV programming.
Quote:
"Our communities depend upon fair, accurate and representative media and must take action to stop media bias and hold big media accountable."
